Walgreens is always looking for new ways to make the company better. With the new technological advances that have been happening, they decided to try to take advantage of that with the services that they provide. Walgreens used adaptive new entry strategy to create a portal to keep up with their immunization appointments. This new technology allowed patients to check-in online, fill out the appropriate information on their phone, and eliminate the use of paper. They invented this because patients complained about having to answer the same questions on a sheet of paper when they come to get a vaccine and that it made them wait in the pharmacy longer. This helped to eliminate that and allowed them to fill it out before their appointment, allowing them to get the vaccine quicker. This advancement allowed the immunizations to be kept in one place, eliminated paper trail, and made it easier for the immunizations to be entered as a prescription because it was integrated in the system.
