Patients that get their prescriptions filled can do everything on the app or online without having to call to speak to someone. The app even lets them know when their prescription will be ready, so that they don’t waste time coming to the pharmacy when it’s not ready. For patient’s that have a card on file, check out can be made easier by them paying ahead or by them setting their prescription up for delivery that way they don’t have to worry about coming to the pharmacy. Walgreens has updated their systems to where it connects to the app and once a patient has done an action it immediately comes through. This way they are showing the patient that they care about their time and don’t want them to wait on the phone to speak with someone when they don’t have to. Even when a patient wants a vaccination, they can set up on appointment online, and then when they get to the store, they must scan a QR code telling the workers that they are there without them having to stand in line. In the front of the store, customers can upload pictures and get them printed out in whatever size that they are wanting, and the pictures are ready within an hour. They also offer a variety of printing whether it’s for passport photos, documents, a business, and they can create home movies. Technology is always advancing and with Walgreens adding these features to their app and website it increases their competitive advantage amongst their competitors. Walgreens also has a reward system for customers, those that have signed up get deals on the merchandise and their loyalty is rewarded by them being able to get money off on purchases based off how often then come in the store. Walgreens values the feedback from their customers and by them taking the feedback into consideration, it only helps make them better and want customers to continue using them.
